The Symphysiotomy chainsaw was the first chainsaw invented and soon afterward became a woodcutting chainsaw. The Symphysiotomy chainsaw is powered by a hand crank. Unlike the modern type which is being powered by gas and other fuel. Due to the medical use of the first chainsaw, it was made to look like a knife with chain teeth attached to it. The chain was wounded around in form of an oval.

Within a matter of time, things evolved and everything changes. We began to see the pelvis cutting chainsaw turn into a mighty wood cutting chainsaw. As people saw its usefulness and how fast it is, its use in cutting wood became permanent.
